The Bondoukou Reflex Gold Project is situated within the 

Birimian Greenstone Belt of eastern Côte d’Ivoire

, a Paleoproterozoic terrane that hosts many of West Africa’s major orogenic gold deposits. The region comprises 

metavolcanic and metasedimentary sequences intruded by granitoids

, deformed by regional compression and cut by extensive shear zones that act as primary controls on gold mineralisation.

major shears, splays and lithological contacts

 where hydrothermal fluids concentrate within quartz veins, alteration zones and brittle–ductile structural traps. At Bondoukou, interpreted shear corridors and volcanic–intrusive contacts provide favourable settings for fluid flow and gold deposition, consistent with the architecture of several large deposits elsewhere in the province.

Surface expressions of mineralisation, including 

widespread artisanal workings aligned along structural trends

, indicate that these mineralised corridors are laterally continuous and may extend at depth. Regional geological and magnetic interpretations further support the presence of 

 across the licence, offering multiple priority targets for systematic exploration and drilling.
