Watheroo IP Survey Further Defines Cu-Ni-PGE Drill Targets
Summary
Watheroo IP Survey Further Defines Priority Cu-Ni-PGE Drill Targets
Dalaroo Metals Limited (ASX: DAL; OTCQB: DALMF) has completed a ground Dipole-Dipole Induced Polarisation survey at its 100%-owned Watheroo Project in Western Australia’s mid-north Wheatbelt.
Fender Geophysics completed approximately 6.3 kilometres of surveying across three east-west lines. The program identified coincident chargeability and resistivity features associated with a magnetic break and areas of elevated copper, nickel, platinum group element and sulphur soil geochemistry.
Observed chargeability values reached 19.4 mV/V, while the 2D inversion of Line 6641700N identified a modelled response reaching approximately 18 mV/V. Sharp, steeply dipping resistivity boundaries were also identified across all three survey lines, highlighting potential lithological or structural contacts within the interpreted buried mafic-ultramafic intrusive system.
These results strengthen Dalaroo’s exploration model, which is supported by:
A large magnetic footprint measuring approximately 7 kilometres by 3 kilometres;
Mapped olivine gabbro and serpentinite;
Elevated Cu-Ni-PGE and sulphur soil geochemistry;
Coincident chargeability and resistivity responses; and
A pronounced magnetic break interpreted to represent a potential intrusive contact.
Watheroo is situated along the broader western margin of the Yilgarn Craton, the emerging magmatic Ni-Cu-PGE province that hosts Chalice Mining’s Julimar-Gonneville discovery further south.
