Why Artisanal Workings Matter at Gold Ridge

One of the most compelling aspects of the Gold Ridge Project is the widespread presence of historical and active artisanal gold workings across the project area.

For exploration geologists, artisanal workings represent much more than historical mining activity—they provide valuable evidence that gold-bearing mineralisation has reached surface and can offer important clues about the geological controls responsible for concentrating gold.

At Gold Ridge, the distribution of artisanal workings closely coincides with several independent exploration datasets, including extensive gold-in-soil anomalies, interpreted structural corridors, favourable lithological contacts, quartz veining and airborne magnetic signatures. The close spatial relationship between these features has been instrumental in refining Dalaroo's exploration model and identifying the highest-priority drill targets.

Importantly, while artisanal workings do not confirm the presence of an economic deposit, they provide strong supporting evidence when considered alongside geological, geochemical and geophysical data. This integrated exploration approach has helped define an approximately 7km mineralised corridor containing three priority target areas that are now being advanced through auger drilling ahead of planned RC drilling.

By combining modern exploration techniques with geological observations from the field, Dalaroo continues to build confidence in the scale and prospectivity of the Gold Ridge Project as exploration progresses toward its next phase.
